The film was scheduled for release in December 2006. Pre-orders were taken on DVD retailer sites. A box art mockup—featuring Nacho’s face superimposed over the Virgin of Guadalupe, holding a severed VHS tape—circulated briefly.

The premise was audacious: a meta-horror adult film. Nacho would play a version of himself who discovers that the porn industry is a literal soul-sucking machine. By early 2006, the blogosphere (shouting into the void via AdultDVDTalk and Rotten.com) was buzzing. Evil Angel announced a $250,000 budget—astronomical for a gonzo film at the time.
